The danger is that people might forget that the impact of the recession may last for many years. Take the example of the US car industry. It has been in a very poor state for ten years or more but the recession has forced changes that will affect America and other countries for years to come. It will be worse for the employees who will have to suffer the change. History will say that bad management was responsible and history will be right. It is the responsibility of managers to do what they can to make the business successful but this always needs to include the whole workforce. Making profit is essential for a business but this is not possible without the people who work for the company.
