Let’s believe in BeliefI am a great follower of sport. I like Rugby and Golf but all sports have one thing in common. However good you are you will not succeed without belief. Golf is a good example of this. Just watching the Masters proved again that the mind is at least as important as skill.

Kenny Perry was in the lead and looked as though he would be the oldest man to win the title with two holes to play. Then a little bit of nerves and the loss of two shots put him into a playoff. He lost the extra holes but maybe he lost the contest when he lost belief? In contrast Tiger Woods looked to be out of contention when the last round started but his great concentration and “will to win” almost took him into the lead. He said afterwards that he was not playing well but his self belief almost got him there. In our business we have the same challenge. We can’t achieve anything without the belief. We need the skill as well but success is not possible without both.
