I started life as an economist and I use my training every day in my working life. An economist looks at how things work in an operational or financial way and tries to predict what will happen if the situation changes. One of the biggest factors is the way people feel.

| If a worker is used to his job they might become bored of if they are worried about the financial crisis it might make them less likely to change. Why is this important? As a fund manager I buy and sell assets. Sometimes I buy something and hold it too long because I hope the price will rise. This is a mistake. What a fund manager should do is look at the portfolio every day and ask if the current holdings are right. This way, changes in other factors can be incorporated into the overall thinking.
At Precision, the same thinking needs to be applied. We are a young company and need to be better than our competition. To do this we must constantly ask if what we are doing works and if changes would make things better. Clients who I meet tell me that you are different from other companies because change happens all the time.
Think about how you could change what you do to help the client and you will be successful.
